Salt Lake City School District Chooses Vector Solutions to Manage Staff Training

According to the company, Vector Training is used in 60 of the top 100 school districts in the United States.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Salt Lake City School District (SLCSD) has adopted Vector Training (formerly SafeSchools), an online learning management system, and Vector Solutions’ online video training courses, to meet federal, state and local employee compliance training, as well as district-specific policies.

According to the company, Vector Training is used in 60 of the top 100 school districts in the United States. Its safety and compliance course library includes online courses written by experts such as bullying recognition and response, active shooter, accident investigation, sports liability, exposure to blood-borne pathogens, child sexual abuse prevention, diversity and inclusion, and school bus driver training.

Vector training is said to help districts simplify training management and comply with important state and federal training mandates including OSHA, Title IX, mandatory reporting, suicide prevention in youth, bullying and cyberbullying and FERPA.

SLCSD, which has over 21,000 students and 4,000 full- and part-time employees, chose Vector Training after an extensive vetting process, which included requirements such as:

  • Automatic tracking and recording of all individual training requirements
  • Access to real-time training and completion reports
  • The ability to customize courses or create your own training courses
  • A user interface that allows administrators to communicate easily and intuitively with staff members
  • The ability for administrators to easily assign courses to individuals and be notified when an individual completes a course

“Vector Training makes it easier for administrators to manage their staff training and helps them stay current with security and compliance requirements,” said Marc Scheipe, CEO of Vector Solutions. “The Salt Lake City School District was looking for a solution that would help them meet these challenges and we are pleased to partner with them to help them achieve these goals.”
