Ridge Meadows Minor Softball Association to Host Training Fundraiser – Maple Ridge News
Ridge Meadows Minor Softball Association is hosting a training camp to raise money for families affected by cancer.
The nonprofit will be hosting a 360 Elite Training fundraiser called Camped For A Cause on March 25 at the Albion Warehouse. Athletes will be able to select a 30-minute time slot and choose which practice to focus on, from strikes, infield, outfield, specialty drills, slide and dive, small strike training balls.
“Athletes will have a 30-minute time slot to train as hard as possible in honor of a loved one or community member who has lost their battle with cancer or is currently battling. The goal is to raise awareness that together we are stronger and to raise funds so that families can be away without financial worries while their child or loved one fights cancer,” the association said.
Each 30-minute time slot will be by donation with no maximum or minimum amount for the donation. 100% of the proceeds from this event will be donated to local families to spend time with their loved ones while battling cancer.
